Our market is a social permaculture design.
We are officially established as an LLC with the State of Maine in 2022. We are building our capacity to self-organize and collaborate. We get a lot of organizing and coordinator support from 207Permaculture, an educational low-profit limited liability company that weaves people, patterns and places into living systems. 207 Permaculture L3C is committed to cultivating the leadership of the market that is necessary to allow it to continue indefinitely.
Please note that the GVFM Articles of Organization use nature-based patterns to define leadership roles and responsibilities as opposed to the corporate vernacular. This is a 'small, slow solution' to depart from legacy of colonization and patriarchal forms of leadership (corporate-hierarchy structure) while ensuring a functional leadership team with the capacity to build relationships of trust and trade while sharing responsibility for the commons. The theory in practice is that leadership should look more like soil.
